After being introduced to this super talented artist located in California by way of Phoenix, AZ, I Initially didn’t know what to think at first. Dobey Dobe has a slender frame and rocks a big afro so I’m sure he’s probably easy to spot in a room. Furthermore I’ve never heard of any rappers from Arizona so I had no clue what to expect. His confidence shines through in his lyrics! I’m almost certain that not only myself, but the rest of the world will be watching this man take off like a rocket!
I checked out Dobey Dobe’s recent track “Never Do” featuring Kyle Bent and I must say I am impressed! The beat is catchy and melodic without being annoying, and on the second verse when Dobey makes a huge statement saying “operation savage tryna doctor up the game some.” I took that as he really cares about his craft and wants to elevate the hip hop genre.
Hip Hop is in dire need of artists like Dobey Dobe!! these days I’ve come across too many unsigned artists that have the personality of a log, and that aren’t focused on sharp lyricism. Sure we all don’t want to have to break down lyrics when we just want to turn up, however somehow Dobey Dobe manages to effortlessly do both.
Although his voice and flow is reminiscent of Big Sean, and his appearance may remind you of Snoop Dogg, I can tell that Dobey Dobe will make his presence known in a major way!
