SKITSO "Gas Station" | Rap Nerd Reviews

Inglewood California undoubtedly breeds some of the hip hop's most treasured artists. Some examples are Mack 10, D Smoke, Casey Veggies and many others. We now can add inglewood fire spitter SKITSO to this list. Inspired by legends like Master P, Eminem and 50 Cent, the name SKITSO is an acronym for Seek Knowledge in Truth and Seize Opportunities. He recently released a single titled "Gas Station" which is featured on his latest album to date "CURRENTLY CHASIN' CURRENCY". Let's dive in to the review of the single.

SKITSO "Gas Station" | Rap Nerd Review

There's only a few things that all people have in common. One of those things is the want/need for money. In this capitalistic society one must be able to compete. Like SKITSO says right at the start of the song, "The early bird gets the worm". It's actually refreshing hearing a track that's not based on violence. The track has a great bass heavy beat behind it, and feels super motivational to everyone from entrepreneurs to hustlers to 9-5ers. The lyrics are clear, clever, and well executed.

"Fill up the tank like I fill up my bank / swerve to that money like I had too much to drank"
SKITSO - "Gas Station"

In conclusion, SKITSO is essential to the rap game to give motivation and inspiration. The only real critique I have for this song is that I would have liked to hear him switch up his flow/cadence more throughout the verses. I will surely still check out his latest full length project "CURRENTLY CHASIN' CURRENCY" to see how he sounds throughout an entire project. Nonetheless, I recommend everyone give this guy a listen. Simply put he's pretty dope. #RapNerdApproved
