This whole tape feels like a short underground movie. 7 tracks, all killer, no filler. Shogun and 90culture built their own little world inspired by Big Trouble in Little China, and the features fit right into that universe. If you love bar heavy hip hop and concept projects, this one is for you. Here's a quick breakdown below.
1. “The Three Storms” (feat. Leonard Leonard & BSR KEM)
This opener feels like everybody walked into the session ready to body something. Shogun snaps early with dark, magic-themed bars, and the features match his energy perfectly. The whole track moves like a squad pulling up for a mission. Super strong intro.
2. “Jack Burton’s Day Off” (feat. YA BOY KAN3 & KING PAC)
This one is all about the flow. The cadences are what really pull you in. It's reckless and a little toxic in the best way. Kane and Kingpac slide in smooth and keep the vibe strong. Just a cool, easy-to-replay joint.
3. “David Lo Pan”
Shogun leans into his villain bag here. The verses feel chaotic in a good way with crashing cars, wild nights, smoking heavy, and demons screaming in the background. 90culture’s beat keeps everything eerie but smooth. Definitely one of the more visual tracks.
4. “Pork Chop Express” (feat. Scrue Hefner)
This track feels like a dark ride through the city with the crew. Shogun drops some tough bars, especially around the .38 special bar and the “last one to die” hook. Screw Hefner comes in with trippy, dreamlike imagery that fits the mood perfectly. Very cinematic.
5. “Yin and Yang” (feat. Fame Life)
“Yin and Yang” brings a good balance of aggression and perspective. Shogun talks his talk about staying solid and leveling up, while Fame Life adds some grown-man wisdom and real-life reflections. The beat is crazy and fits that back-and-forth energy. Very replayable.
6. “Death Versus” (feat. ANTIDOTE & N. Saiko)
Straight bar fest. Shogun starts off dark and sharp, Antidote comes through with clever martial-arts references, and Inseo adds a dope Spanish twist at the end. This track already slapped before, but inside the album it hits even harder. One of the best on the tape.
7. “Lords of Death” (feat. Fame Life & Scrue Hefner)
Perfect album closer. Shogun gets real smooth here with some fly Stevie Wonder references and late-night energy. Fame Life drops gems again, and Screw Hefner finishes it off with full drill-mode intensity. Feels like the final scene of the movie.
Final Thoughts
This is a great body of work. It's short, cohesive, and there are no skips. Shogun187 stays lyrically sharp from top to bottom, and 90culture’s sound ties the whole concept together perfectly. The features all overstood the assignment, and the whole album really plays like its own world.
