Money Makin Moñet "Rap & Real Estate " | Rap Nerd Reviews

The Journey of life may take you to places you didn't expect at all. Like Andre 3k of Outkast said, "You can plan a pretty picnic but you can't predict the weather." This seems to be the case for Money Makin Moñet as I listen to her profess equal love for both of her passions, hence the title "Rap & Real Estate".

"Dreams of going number 1, I just know I'm number 1 / I can sell some real estate, I just sold another one"
Money Makin Moñet - "Rap & Real Estate"

Money Makin Moñet "Rap & Real Estate" | Rap Nerd Review

Right out the gate on the first track Money Makin Moñet articulates how although rapping is her first love, she had to put it on the backburner to focus on being a real estate agent. The hard truth was that just rapping alone wasn't lucrative enough, so she had to do what she had to do. After some prophetic dreams Moñet realizes that she doesn't need to drop any of her passions, she can just intertwine the two. I personally think this is a great idea, because this messaging can have a positive impact on the urban community and motivate people to build generational wealth through real estate. The cleverly named tracklist and overall theme was the first thing that caught my attention.

"I was on the block makin sales in the trenches / took a few L's tryna run up my digits"
- Gutta

Within the 11 track body of work, there are at least 4-5 tracks that really stand out on this project. Not that the other's aren't good, but certain tracks I feel hit the soul different. The first of my favorite songs on the album was "No Comps". Money Makin Moñet is assisted by her M3 Entertainment squad on this banger, and it sounds like a true anthem. Every verse ended with the phrase "shitted on em", because that's exactly what they all did lyrically! Track 6, "Showings", is another highlight on the project. The beat and flow on this song is insane. I need to hear what this one sounds like in the whip. On the beginning of "Multiple Offers" Moñet expresses how she's not partnering with anyone unless she's offered that "Godfather offer". The hook on this is fire and catchy. Her confidence shines a lot on the first verse when she said "I won't do it for no dollars not a stripper on the pole / I'm the CEO Janet Jackson in control" The album wraps up with "Commision Check (Everybody get a bag)". This track is super smooth, but hard at the same damn time. Moñet get vulnerable on here describing personal hardships of her and her loved ones on the last verse. It's always good to hear an artist be transparent and give the listeners a peek into their personal lives.

I can always appreciate an album with a unique well thought out concept. I'm quite sure that "Rap & Real Estate" will be inspirational, influential, and relatable to many people with multiple passions. The overall production as far as the beats/ mixing and mastering could have been a little stronger in my personal opinion. Outside of that, I enjoyed this body of work, and I think yall should definitely tap in to her movement!
