Kingsize The Veteran x Komplex the Producer "GODZEAR" | Rap Nerd Reviews

Kingsize the Veteran – GODZEAR Produced entirely by Komplex the Producer

If you’ve been starving for a project that blends deep spirituality, clever lyricism, sample based boom bap beats, and anime references—GODZEAR is a great listen. Kingsize the Veteran delivers a cohesive body of work that’s rich in concept, soulful in sound, and drenched in purpose. Every track feels like a sermon, a cipher, and a spiritual awakening wrapped in one.

Track-by-track Highlights:

  • “Wing Zero Opus” sets the tone like the awakening of an alter ego. It’s a mission statement with bars that affirm his purpose and stance.

  • “The 7th” digs deep into spiritual warfare, numerology, and MK Ultra-like manipulation. “Give your life to Christ and nobody can defeat you” hits like a mantra.

  • “Transmit” kicks off with a Kamehameha and rides an oddball but creative flow with sharp scratches. A bold, anime-laced boom bap experience.

  • “We Know It” (which we’ve covered in a previous video review) is catchy, dreamy, and groovy with top-tier scratching. A perfect single.

  • “Operation Duplication” fires shots at the copy-paste rap industry. He exposes ghostwriting, fake flexes, and calls for originality. The beat switch at the end is soulful and drumless and I LOVED it. Lowkey I wish he’d spit on that part of the beat too.

  • “Limit Break” reveals the darker side of the game: Spotify’s politics, cultural whitewashing, and the loss of hip hop's soul.

  • “Makes No Sense” reflects on how hip hop lost its fun. The intro vocal sample sets the tone for a nostalgic and necessary observation.

  • “Ghetit Krackin” balances clever punchlines with spiritual undertones. Scratch work shines again, and yes—that’s a Hadouken from Street Fighter in there. Fire.

  • “Sweet Tuuf” (pronounced Sweet Tooth) merges Vegeta bars and Destructo Discs with armor-of-God confidence. A smooth track that still hits hard.

  • “Origin of Excellence” showcases elite wordplay. He weaves Thor, Christ, and cosmic wisdom through soulful production.

  • “Final Flash Finisher” is a full-on lyrical flex. His voice, confidence, and punchlines (“I regurgitate fire, flames when I vomit”) are explosive.

  • “Our Souls Cry” brings us into prayer asking God for clean hearts and renewed spirits. It’s mellow and beautiful.

  • “Nothing” samples newscasts on school shootings and turns into a powerful social commentary on America's violent culture and racial bias.

  • “Deletion of Sins” is raw and sincere. He raps calmly with purpose, sharing health scares and the power of Christ to wipe the slate clean.

  • “Waste Management” is clever wordplay over a dusty boom bap beat. “So much garbage around me I should be in waste management”—FACTS.

  • “Galick Gun Gauntlet” ends the project with lyrical heat. This is one of my favorite tracks. Heavy bars, dope cadences, and ill punchlines. (FYI: Galick Gun is a powerful energy attack used by Vegeta in Dragon Ball Z. Fitting way to end the album.)

Final Thoughts:This album is the definition of a Rap Nerd-approved release. Kingsize the Veteran stays true to himself while merging faith, anime, boom bap, and dope bars into something fresh and powerful. Komplex the Producer absolutely laced every beat with soulful precision. It’s not for the microwave listeners. If you want meaningful bars, and beats that slaps, GODZEAR deserves your full attention.
